Novak’s first win in Wimbledon
Djokovic expressed his disappointment and wants a rule to be changed in the Olympics. Read what he stated-
“I really don’t understand the rules. They’re really not logical for me,” said 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic, who is vying for his first gold at the Olympics.
Regarding a doubles player competing in the Olympics as a single, he stated, “I don’t think it’s a good image for the sport, to be honest.”
He added, “There were a lot of singles players that have plenty of time, that were alternates, that could have been called to come. This part I don’t get.”
As per Men’s Tennis ATP Ranking 2024, Novak is in second place with a score of 8460 on the list.
Djokovic is yet to win an Olympic gold medal. Other than Margaret Court, Djokovic is the tennis player with the most Grand Slam trophies—24—but his only Olympic medal was a bronze from Beijing in 2008.
Novak Djokovic is no. 2 in men’s tennis.
A record 24 Grand Slam for the men’s singles championships have been won by Djokovic, including ten Australian Open wins.
