SDG REPORT 2025

Before diving deep into the key points, let’s understand the background of SDGs and why they are important.

What Are the SDGs and Why Do They Matter?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They address pressing global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, health, education, and sustainable economic growth.

Using the most recent statistics, it assesses worldwide progress toward the 2030 Agenda, highlighting both significant concerns (such as climate change, inequality, and wars) and achievements (such as decreased child mortality and increased access to energy and broadband).

UN DESA (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs) compiled the report in collaboration with more than 50 regional and international partners.

The SDGs are universal, interconnected, and time-bound, with 2030 as the target year.
