The Supreme Court has mandated on July 18 that NTA release the NEET UG results by July 20 at 12 p.m. The highest court ordered the Agency to provide the scores earned by the candidates who featured on its website, keeping the students’ identities private.
The NEET UG results must be released separately by city and centre by today at noon, according to a decision from a bench that included Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra. NEET UG Result 2024 is available from the NTA.

According to PTI reports, Dr. Gopal Krushna Pal, the director of AIIMS Patna, stated that the medical facility would take appropriate action if the students are found liable following the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) Thursday arrest of four medical students from the institute in relation to the NEET-UG paper leak case.
The NTA NEET UG exam was administered this year on May 5 at 4750 locations. On June 4, 2024, the NEET UG result 2024 was announced. On June 23, the impacted applicants underwent a reexamination; the findings were made public on June 30, 2024. This year, around 24 lakh students took the main exam, while 1563 people took the reexamination.

As per the directive of the Supreme Court, the results were declared public on Saturday. The exam is a crucial prerequisite for admission to undergraduate medical programs including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BUMS in reputable institutions throughout India. It is administered at 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 overseas sites.

Significant score declines were observed in the retest results from Hardayal Public School in Haryana. This suggests that the reexamination procedure was more equitable and controlled. Compared to numerous perfect scores in the prior test, the highest score on the retest was 682.

Due to high traffic, the result website’s servers collapsed early in the afternoon, but they eventually recovered over the next few hours. Parents and students have complained a few times about their missing exam results at the locations where they took the test.
The NTA previously declared the outcomes of a re-examination for a few candidates on June 30, 2024. The Supreme Court ordered this reexamination in response to claims of irregularities.
Due to controversies surrounding allegations about paper leaks and delays at 6 centres, the Supreme Court ordered a retest for 1,563 candidates and invalidated the grace marks that had previously been given.
In order to look into the fairness of the scores, especially from centres with recorded problems, the Supreme Court gave the NTA instructions to release the results while hiding the identity of the candidates. On July 22, the court will still consider petitions pertaining to the alleged malpractices.
With over 24 lakh applicants this year, the NEET UG examination is one of the biggest medical admission exams in the nation.
