In a thrilling match on Saturday at Edgbaston, the World Championship of Legends 2024 final saw the India Champions team triumph over the Pakistan Champions team by five wickets.
In a thrilling battle that went right down to the wire, Yuvraj Singh’s Indian team won the coveted championship. After winning the toss, the Pakistan Champions chose to bat first and scored 156 runs for 6 in 20 overs.

India champions team, captained by Yuvraj Singh, emerged victorious in the World Championship of Legends 2024 after defeating the Pakistan champions by five wickets in the championship match held at Edgbaston on Saturday. India, chasing 157, got off to a rough start when they lost two wickets in the Powerplay, within two deliveries.
However, Ambati Rayudu made sure to remain there for a long time and make a significant contribution during his half-century. Gurkeerat Singh Mann proved to be a capable partner for him, and together they helped India regain its momentum in the run chase. Later, with five deliveries remaining, Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan pieced together a match-winning stand.
In the first delivery of the 19th over, Irfan Pathan struck a boundary against Tanvir to give India the victory and complete the quest for the title. His brother ran to the middle of the floor to give Irfan a short hug, and Irfan gave him a heartfelt hug while they were both covered in the Indian flag.
Because of his outstanding all-around performance for Indian Champions during their journey to the championship, Yusuf was later named the Player of the Tournament.
In addition to taking one wicket in two of his seven games, he scored 221 runs at 55.25 in seven games, which was the fifth-highest run total in the tournament and the second-best among Indians just after Robin Uthappa (225 runs in 7 matches).
India won handily, finishing at 159 for 5 in 19.1 overs, much to the pleasure of their supporters, with Yuvraj Singh (15*) and Irfan Pathan (5*) at the crease.
In the World Championship of Legends 2024 final, Pakistan Champions scored of 156/6. Pakistan was under strain after losing Sharjeel Khan, their opener, early. Though Sohaib Maqsood appeared prepared to turn the tide back in Pakistan’s favour, he was thwarted in his bid to score another huge strike.
Pakistan’s champion hitters, who were 55 for 2, tried to form partnerships but were unable to hold onto wickets despite making good starts. The injury that forced Misbah-ul-Haq to withdraw further halted their progress. Malik’s tenacious 41-run knock was crucial in keeping the innings in check.
