“We aimed to accomplish just this during my final T20 World Cup. God is awesome because just when you think you can’t run any more, this happens. Just the right moment—a situation where it’s now or never. My final T20 match as an Indian player was this one.

We desired to raise that cup. Yes, I have wanted to; it was no secret. It’s time for the following generation to advance the T20 format. We had been waiting a long time to win an ICC tournament. Consider Rohit, who has participated in nine T20 World Cups; I have participated in six. He is deserving of it. I hope it will eventually set in, but it’s been hard to hold things (emotions) in”- Kohli Remarked
